As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for repairs and maintenance for the entire organisation including client’s sites, carrying periodic maintenance inspections and also being in charge of all technical problems and projects.

The Maintenance Manager is a versatile position that requires sufficient managerial and technical skills. They must make sure their technical team is fully trained and able to perform their jobs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversees the processes of fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines; tasks including plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating and air conditioning system maintenance
Work on overhead electrical connections, ensuring their safety and maximum power capabilities
Responsible for safety of everybody entering workshop premises and all other stake holders of Mobile Equipment
Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
Responsible to execute safety parameters/ trainings of mechanics and operators
Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
To Extract relevant information from Operation team regarding required maintenance and convert in plan for execution
Manage the company’s Research & Development, Technical Support and Manufacturing functions to meet budgeted financial
performance
Develop new products, as agreed by the Leadership Team
Manage the generation and preservation of Company Intellectual Property, including archiving/storage of
designs, documentation of know-how, preparation of patent applications and general maintenance of the
company’s IP portfolio
Provide product support and other technical support to operational functions in the most efficient
manner for all concerned
Maintain a clear view at all times of the R&D and Technical Support past and forecast technical and
financial performance (both deliverables and spend)
Foster a climate and culture where QHSE issues are addressed effectively and speedily, as part of
everyone’s normal function
Improve the effectiveness of the Company’s internal systems; increasing efficiency and reducing
administrative overhead
Report regularly on key aspects of the business, in accordance with routine and ad-hoc reporting
requirements
Provide relevant technical information to Operations staff to enable proper operation and maintenance of
Field Technical Equipment

Skills and Competencies

At least 6 years’ post-qualifying hands on experience in facilities management; equipment design and/or manufacture; electricals; motor mechanics; plumbing leading a multicultural workshop team
Proven leadership experience in a Technical Environment
Sufficient experience in RCA, FMEA and all other KPIs of Reliability parameters, Condition Monitoring and Preventive maintenance
Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technical department
Project management and Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Solid knowledge of both basic and advanced Technical principles and practices and relevant standards
Outstanding experience with forecasting and budgeting
Excellent understanding of laws, rules, and regulations regarding technical field
Extensive experience in technical management, preferably in a related induststry

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in a related technical field i.e. Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing or other related fields or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties may be considered
Qualified Artisan
Professional Project Management Certification in a related technical field required from accredited intuition preferred
Demonstrated understanding of Technical Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Speaking French would be advantageous
Driver’s license is essential
