  • Have a Rigger/Ropesman Section 13 Trade Test Certificate
  • Have relevant N2 qualification
  • Be in possession of an Assessors Certificate
  • Possess a relevant mine-wide (including Plant) experience
  • Possess a relevant experience in employee development
  • Possess well developed leadership, interpersonal, managerial, organizational skills
  • Have excellent consulting/ facilitation and English communication skills
  • Have sound knowledge of operating Forklifts, Mobile cranes and Overhead cranes
  • Have sound knowledge of a safe lifting, splicing and maintenance of steel wire ropes
  • Have sound knowledge of record keeping and filling systems
  • Have sound knowledge of basic legal, safety, environmental and hazard identification understanding
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Office and have knowledge Management information systems
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

Advantageous Requirement:

  • Engineering Supervisors Certificate
  • Be in possession of valid N3 Qualification
  • ETD Practitioner’s Certificate level 3
  • Moderator Certificate
  • Practical understanding of SAQA, QTCO, NAMB, MQA, Sibanye-Stillwater Academy training policies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Presenting relevant Rigging training interventions
  • Liaising with internal customers to determine internal needs and relevant best practices
  • Perform follow up audits to ensure effective implementation of training
  • Provide skills and knowledge training at the operations that support core processes as required
  • Ensuring full compliance with the relevant acts, standards and regulations by equipping learners with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies
