RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Responsible for logging calls on the call logging System.
  • New Installation Desktop computers, Laptops, printers and Switches
  • Repairs PCs
  • Logging and tracking of incidents and requests
  • Setting-up and linking users to printers
  •  Installing Software on users
  •  Ensuring a day to day users efficiency
  •  Configures and set up printers on the network
  •  Printers (Samsung, Brother and Hewlett Packard) troubleshoot and repair of equipment.
  • Making sure all printers are good in a working conditions at all times
  • Provides Technical advice and support to end-users
  • Provides Support and assistance to first line helpdesk and system support staff
  • Configures and sets up computing and network equipments
  • Installs and upgrades software and Hardware products.
  • Makes sure all reported computer equipment that must be repaired by Maintenance Company will be removed properly registered with a serial numbers.
  • Prioritizes reported problems and give assistance to users regarding problems in connection to Hardware, Software and system problems
  •  Personal computers Installation (desktops ¬ebooks),
  • Peripheral devices (modems, network interface cards, memory Simms, scanners, cd-rom, hdd) do installation
  • Installing operating systems (Windows 95/98/2000/XP/windows 7) and graphic application
    (Office2000/2003/2007 and Office 2010)
  • Creates and maintains computer software maintenance database.
  •  Drives accountability and is a high performer.
  • Creating & managing user e-mail accounts(Novell Group wise) and Microsoft Outlook
  • Anti-virus installation & updates
  •  Maintaining frontline service desk user support & interfacing with suppliers and service providers.
  • Ensuring that user’s get feedback on logged calls
  • Ensuring that all logged calls are closed and updated within the SLA
  • Responsible for computer hardware audit.
  • Installing operating systems (Windows 95/98/2000/XP/windows 7) and graphic application (Office2000/2003/2007 and Office 2010)
  • Creates and maintains computer software maintenance database.
  • Driven to make a difference.
  • Ensuring that the installed computers are label and named accordingly
  • Drive to the branches as and when requested

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of this position.
  •  Minimum 2 End User support experience.
  •  Solid experience in Microsoft packages
  •  Experience of managing multiple Microsoft platforms
  •  Knowledge of Netware Enterprise Package
  •  Telephonically assisting user on how use feature or programs on a machine
  •  Experience in building computers
  • Experience in printer configuration and installation
  •  Knowledge of ADSL Routers
  • Knowledge of Symantec Products
  • Knowledge of Networks (LAN, WAN, VPN and VPN’s

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

  • Matric
  • N+ and A+
  • ITIL certification
  • Valid drivers licence
