Capitec Bank Architect: Card & Merchant Management System

Job Summary

  • Responsible for the technical architecture and design of all Acquiring related tasks for the purposes of introducing a new Card and Merchant Management System
  • Responsible for the alignment of the Architecture between Capitec and Business Banking Acquiring systems
  • Provide specialist input on business and technological aspects during business requirements gathering and technical design phases
Experience
    • At least 6 – 8 years’ relevant experience in:
    • Acquiring (e.g. authorisation, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, dispute resolution, extracts and general ledger integration) architecture and design
    • MasterCard and Visa Acquiring parameter configurations
    • Payment systems (e.g. Visanet and Banknet), including POS (e.g. Easy Pay) and ATM (e.g. Saswitch)
    • MasterCard (IPM) and Visa (Base2) Clearing Specifications
  • Valued requirements include:
    • PRIME and/or PowerCARD
    • SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology – Computer Science or Information Systems
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
  • A relevant post graduate degree in Information Technology
Knowledge
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of:
  • Debit and credit card payment processing fundamentals
  • Card dispute resolution / chargeback fundamentals
  • MasterCard IPM specifications
  • Visa Base2 specifications
  • PCI-SSC standards
  • Transaction based switching and routing
  • Card management systems
  • System Architectural design principles & application
  • Services architecture
