Vacancy – Wegezi: Assistant Buyer, 6 Months Contract.
The Assistant Buyer’s duties: To support our Procurement Department with the selection and procurement of products. The Assistant Buyer’s responsibilities will also include maintaining positive vendor relations, preparing retail and pricing strategies, placing and tracking purchase orders, managing inventory, keeping track of market trends and other admin work as may be required in the department.
Minimum,Matric / N3 in Commerce Qualification.
Computer Literate: MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
Minimum, 2 years experience as a Buyer/ In the procurement environment, preferably dealing with one of the following products: Motors/ Pumps/ Generators/ Transformers. Self starter, negotiation and good communication skills.
Be able to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
