Job Summary Statement
To assist the sales support function by managing efficient receiving operation of incoming shipments for both local and international suppliers. Adhere to company standards of recordkeeping for both manual and on electronic systems. Must interface with departmental staff in the sales support function and other company departments. Responsible for creation of monthly management reports including costing and inbound booking reports.
Grade 12 Stores and Stock Control (advantageous) Warehouse and office administration (advantageous) 1-2 years stock receipt and checking experience PC Literate – MS Word and Excel Good understanding of the logistical flow of purchase and sales orders Good working knowledge of receiving procedures Proven Administration skills
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure FIFO is followed for all transactions and goods through the receiving area Responsible for the administration function associated with the efficient operation of receiving and despatching of goods and services from suppliers. Liaise with various internal departments to rectify discrepancies and queries as required Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, assuring continuous quality improvement and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Performs other duties from time to time as required to meet business needs Assist with stock takes and solving discrepancies and queries Receive product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy to received documentation Operate powered industrial forklift to transport inventory (unload incoming stock from supplier vehicles) Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor. Generation of goods received notices (Repairs, Credits) Execute weekly forklift checklist and report findings to supervisor
