The 21-year-old looks set to be a key player for Matsatsantsa this season having already come in for some praise after the club’s opening two matches against two sides considered to be Absa Premiership title contenders in Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
Mbule played half an hour in the 2-0 defeat against Downs and the full match when SuperSport thrashed the Buccaneers 3-0 on Wednesday.
“I think he is maturing. He never really used to look after himself physically. He was never in the right condition that you can have confidence to throw him in. But when we came back he was one of the fittest,” Tembo told the Siya crew.
Mbule is in his third season with SuperSport having been promoted to the first team by Stuart Baxter during the 2016/17 season, though he never played.
“When you play in midfield you’ve got to be fit. And he’s lost weight. He is in a better condition. I don’t doubt his talent, especially in this league. It took time because youngsters don’t understand why sometimes. He was never a 90 minutes player and that was because of his condition. Now he is matured,” added Tembo.
