The suitable candidate will be placed on an accelerated, robust, exciting, self-motivated developmental program for the duration of 10 months.

This development program will train and develop you to prepare you for the role of Business Consultant. The objective of this program is to ensure that you learn the business in the most appropriate way thus enabling you to move into the role of Business Consultant.

The role of Trainee Business Consultant is a part salaried role with a variable element to it and is initially office bound.

Accelerated Programme Overview:

The program is divided in 2 distinct phases with clear performance and assessment targets/standards set for each phase.

The objective of Phase 1 is to orientate and educate the incumbent on Old Mutual Broker Distribution¡¦s Administrative systems and processes.

The objective of Phase 2 is to orientate and educate the incumbent on Old Mutual Broker Distribution¡¦s Sales and Marketing strategies.

After successful assessment and completion of phase 1 and 2, the opportunity exists for them to become a Business Consultant provided suitable vacancies are available.

Sales Support

Assists the Business Consultant with administration functions in preparations for broker visits

Receives requests for quotations.

Prepares quotations that are competitive in order to secure new business

Relationship Building

Builds relationships with activate brokers.

Convinces brokers to sell Old Mutual products and services.

Marketing

Markets Old Mutual services, online tools and products to brokers, face to face.Identify sales opportunities to activate a non-supporting broker base.Job Requirements

Role Qualifications:Grade 12 ¡V A commercial degree/diploma will be advantageous

Prepared to be fully transferable should the need ariseOwn car and driver¡¦s license will be advantageousRelevant experience in the financial services industry will be advantageous

Proficiency in MS OfficeExcellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills and the ability to liaise on all levels
