Aplications are invited for the above mentioned positions to be based at the Van Ryn Cooperage site . This position reports to the Supervisor .
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to the following:

• Check maturation stores for leaking barrels
• Repair all types of barrels
• Make new barrels from raw wood
• Ad-hoc duties in the cooperage
• Good Housekeeping practices
• Risk awareness and control

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills/attributes:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• At least 2 years experience in a cooperage where all aspects of the job are covered
• Must be physically healthy and strong – able to work effectively in a dusty and physically demanding environment
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills
• Punctuality and attendance reliability
