|Job Description||Join Parmalat at our Bonnievale Plant as a Process System Operator in the Butter. The main responsibilities will pasteurisation of cream. In addition to this the successful candidate will also be responsible to ensure that machines are operating according to standard in an attempt to prevent wastage of materials. |Required Skills||*Grade 12 or equivalent
* 2-3 years’ experience in food related manufacturing environment
* Attention to detail
* Willing to learn
* Willing to work shifts,long hours, weekends, public holidays and overtime
* Exposure to HACCP advantageous
*Must have the basic principle of pasteurizing and how to do it within spec.
*Must know the principle of CIP and sterilization.
|Duties & Responsibilities||*Pasteurisation of cream and buttermilk.
*Monitor of pasteurisation process.
*Ensure that external cream that is offloaded is within Plant spec
*Report internal cream that is out of spec immediately to the Butter Coordinator
*The CIP of silo’s and lines
*Test of CIP chemicals before CIP process
*Ensure that CIP station is checked daily
*Cleaning of pasteurisation area
*Report any mechanical defects on the pasteuriser, unsafe equipment or unsafe situation to the Artisan
*Ensure that cream is within spec before it is loaded for external Companies
*Ensure that protein and butterfat tests are done while the tankers are offloaded and again before production
*Do butterfat tests on FT machine in lab
*Work according to and promote ISO HACCP GMP, , 20 KEYS and NOSA standards
*Participate in butter team to ensure good hygiene and housekeeping in Butter production area
